use abdominal machines or running machines to lose belly fat?

I’m trying to lose a few pounds of belly fat, but I was wondering if running machines like ellypticals only make your legs stronger, and if abdominal crunch machines only make the stomach muscles underneath the fat stronger, then what exercises can help me lose weight on my pot belly?

My belly was pretty gross and flabby. I didn’t lose it until I cleaned up my diet. Start eating more protein and fiber.

Then I did Pilates, strength training exercises. As well as doing HIIT — which is a great form of cardio exercises to burn fat.

Here’s a good site I found with great diet and workout tips to help you lose belly fat. It helped me by showing me the best exercises to get the results I wanted.

    Good luck.

You can’t get a 6 pack with abdominal exercises, unless you do them in conjunction with exercising the muscles below the nose and above the chin correctly :)
You can’t spot reduce fat. You have to reduce overall body fat and often the fat around the middle is the last to release. So for your abs to show you have to have a very low percentage of body fat.

I also tell my clients to eat smaller meals more times (5-6) per day. When a body is starved it will store fat. When it believes that times are good (when it’s being feed good nutrition often) it will release fat.

I have written a page focusing on a 3 pronged approach dealing with Detoxing, Nutrition and Exercise (especially body weight exercises, which you can do in your home).

    Good luck!

So many people buy “ab loungers” to lose their belly fat. Most of them are using these ab-chairs as the end-all solution to get a flat stomach.

In fact, even if you work very hard and regularly on these gadgets, it would never give you the results you are looking for, because these ab gadgets don’t accomplish the most important aspect of truly achieving flat stomach. They don’t stimulate any thing for fat loss at all.

You need a strategic combined full-body exercies and a smart nutrition program to lose your belly fat.

If you want to know the details of all of these techniques, you can go to this site:

Hope this site can help you. Good luck!

The more muscle you have, the more calories you body needs to maintain those muscles. If you keep your caloric intake to a minimum, then your body will start to use the fat on your body for energy, thus reducing the amount of fat hanging from your belly. And strengthening your abdominal muscles will have two effects: first, it helps you build muscles that will help you burn more calories during the course of the day, and second, larger abdominal muscles tend to stretch the skin around them, tightening your belly and reducing the amount of belly that sags over your waist line.

But here’s the catch: only working your abdominal muscles isn’t going to do much for you. You should definitely consider joining a gym and working on a weight lifting routine that works as many of your muscle groups as possible, and a daily aerobic routine to help you burn the fat you already have.
