How can I lose belly fat?
November 16th, 2008 | by bellyfat |calharris66 asked:
I have lost 15 lbs in 6 weeks on Weight Watchers (yay!) but none of the weight loss has been in my belly area (I am still the same pants size). Is there something I am doing wrong? Do you have any tips for me on how to lose belly fat?

crunches aren’t goin to burn the fat, they’ll build muscle and can actually make you look bigger.
run, anything cardio will burn fat, cardio=out of breath or breathing hard work out

You are doing a good job following an effective diet.
A lot of people think crunches will help….. yes, crunches help your abs look better once the fat is gone but they are not very effective burning fat.
I would suggest a combination of cardio 3 times a week(spinning is great) and strength training 3 times a week alternating them. The most effective strength exercises to burn fat are the ones that involve the biggest muscles in your body: the legs. Squats, lunges and dead-lifts are highly recommended.

I always recommend
They can answer all your questions, plan your meals, have a ton of workouts for each part of your body. It shows you a little video on each of those workouts too. It is free!
I have been working out for about 2 years now and have developed a great workout for my abs and other parts of my body. I went from a size 9 pants to a size 5! I do 3 sets of 25 crunches,
3 sets of 30 lying abduction great for obliques,
25 leg lifts
25 butterfly crunches
You can’t do target working out and expect it to work just like that. To get results you must do cardio ! I do 60minutes at least 3 times a week. You can also fall into a plateau which means that you no longer have any progress. To avoid that you must change it up every now an then. That is why they recommend a ton of workouts for each part of the body.
Good luck! I hope you check out sparkpeople.com

Crunches build muscle they don’t help you to lose fat, especially in the belly area. Exercises that work in most areas are not as effective for belly fat. If you want an effective workout just for abs and belly fat, I recommend downloading this free ebook It’s full of very helpful information specifically for people trying to lose belly fat.
