I’m just starting back working out and my abs seem to need the most work!
I heard pilates is good for the core. Has anyone tried that?

Yoga plank position. Do a youtube search for it, there are some good videos that will show you the basics and different variations.

I know one, It´s really hard here are the steps to do it, you have to be on the floor to do them, I sugest in private:
    1.raise your legs
2.as you raise them, seperate them
    3.join them at the top
4.do the same on the way down
5.make sure your feet don´t toch the ground
6 repeat several times (without having your feet touch the ground)
ps: do the basics as well, crunches situps, etc.

Pilates is excellent! You can also find some good target exercises here that can be done at home without special equipment. Good luck!
